Canada's Liberal Party falls short of majority mark after recounts

Canada's ruling Liberal Party fell short of the majority mark in the House of Commons after the result of a judicial recount of a riding (constituency) was announced on Friday. The party now has 170 seats in the lower house of the parliament, falling short of two seats to cross the majority mark. The elections were held on April 28.
