Canada targets US steel, mowers in new trade tariffs

Canada will impose 15%, 25%, and 50% tariffs on C$27.6 billion of US imports from September 8, retaliating against new US duties. Targets range from steel, aluminum, and dairy to cosmetics, lawn mowers, paper goods, hockey gear, and seafood. Ottawa says the measures protect workers and add leverage, while C$7.5 billion in aid supports affected businesses and workers.
