A Canadian YouTube star has admitted that he faked his girlfriend's death in order to boost his subscriber count. The 29-year-old, who claimed his girlfriend had been killed by a drunk driver, had posted a video in which he attempted to contact her using a 'spirit board'. His YouTube channel debuted in 2016 and currently has 5.4 million subscribers.
