Cannabis compounds show promise in slowing ovarian cancer growth

New research suggests cannabis-derived compounds CBD and THC may help slow ovarian cancer growth and spread. Laboratory studies found the compounds reduced cancer cell multiplication and movement, even in drug-resistant cells, while causing minimal harm to healthy cells. Though early-stage, the findings point to a potential new, gentler treatment approach for a cancer that is often hard to treat.
