A study conducted among 4 million people suggested that cannabis users face almost four times the risk of developing type 2 diabetes within five years than people who don't use cannabis. The researchers emphasised the need for more studies on the long-term endocrine effects of cannabis use and whether diabetes risks are limited to inhaled products or other cannabis forms.
