The Supreme Court-mandated verandah outside Chief Justice's Courtroom No. 1 in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which is part of the Le Corbusier-designed UNESCO heritage site, has finally been built. The verandah was at the centre of a heated controversy last year, when the Chief Justice insisted that it be built in keeping with his current needs.
