Hosting card parties has become a popular trend during the Diwali season. However, participants must ensure that these gatherings do not charge an entry fee. Imposing such a fee can make the event appear commercial. Both the organizer and the participants can face penalties under Section 4 of the Delhi Public Gambling Act, 1955, as noted by Advocate Deepak Somani.
