Carlos Alcaraz retains Japan Open title in first final since return from injury

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Jiri Lehecka in the Japan Open final on Tuesday to successfully defend his Tokyo title. The victory marked the world number three's first trophy since returning from a nearly five-month wrist injury layoff and his third title of 2026. Alcaraz also became the first man since Pete Sampras in 1993-94 to win consecutive Japan Open titles.
