China on Saturday mourned the victims of the coronavirus outbreak by observing a three-minute silence. Cars, trains and ships then sounded their horns and air raid sirens wailed as President Xi Jinping and other leaders paid silent tribute. In Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak, all traffic lights in urban areas turned red and road traffic ceased for three minutes.
