Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has been forced to borrow around ₹1,000 crore to pay salaries to its employees, as per a report. "We've always been cash-rich, this is the first time...in two-three decades we've borrowed," the report quoted Chairman R Madhavan. Last October, HAL reportedly had just ₹1,000 crore, enough to pay its 29,000 employees for just three months.
