Despite a 9% drop in registrations, CAT-2013 recorded an increase of almost 1.5% in terms of number of candidates who took the exam, compared to 2012. Last year, only 1.91 lakh of the 2.14 lakh candidates, who registered for the test, wrote the exam while almost all those who signed up for CAT-2013 took the test.
