CBI on Thursday arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) Birbhum district president Anubrata Mondal from his house in connection with the cattle smuggling scam. He was taken for a medical examination following his arrest. A CBI team on Thursday morning arrived at Mondal's residence in Bolpur. This comes after he failed to appear for questioning twice in three days.
