CBI on Tuesday arrested the branch manager of Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank in Basti red-handed while accepting ₹10,000 bribe from a complainant. The bank's peon was also arrested in the matter. The complainant, who was sanctioned ₹5 lakh loan, was given only ₹2,72,000 by the bank. He alleged that the manager asked for a bribe to disburse the remaining amount.
