CBI books Anil Ambani, Reliance Capital over ₹2,684 cr LIC fraud

The CBI has registered a case against Reliance Capital and its former chariman Anil Ambani and others over an alleged fraud which caused a loss of ₹2,684.57 crore to Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). LIC claimed it invested ₹3,900 crore into Reliance Capital based on "misrepresentation". LIC accused Reliance Capital of "misappropriation of funds and falsification of accounts".
