In order to conduct postmortem again, the CBI exhumed the body of a 19-year-old woman who was allegedly raped and murdered in her hostel in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada in 2007. A man, accused in the case, was arrested in 2008 but was acquitted by a court after eight years of imprisonment. CBI took over the investigation in 2018.
