CBI is investigating an alleged Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) violation by climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's Himalayan Institute of Alternatives Ladakh (HIAL), officials said. CBI is also reviewing his visit to Pakistan in February 2025, they added. This came after violence over Ladakh statehood demand killed at least four and injured dozens.
