The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has cleared the proposed merger of Swiss-based multinational financial services companies Credit Suisse Group and UBS Group. As per CCI, the transaction entails UBS' proposed acquisition of Credit Suisse by way of an absorption merger. Post transaction, all Credit Suisse's assets, liabilities and contracts will be transferred to UBS.
