The Competition Commission of India (CCI) ruled in favour of Asian Paints and dismissed a complaint by JSW Paints alleging that the former blocked its entry into the decorative paints segment by abusing the market dominance. The probe found that Asian Paints' actions were "based on objective criteria and uniformly applicable practice of Asian Paints to protect its business interest".
