The Competition Commission of India (CCI) closed an antitrust case against Big Tree Entertainment, the parent company of ticketing platform BookMyShow. After a detailed investigation, the CCI ruled that although BookMyShow has market dominance, it hasn't abused its position to stifle competition. The complaint was filed in 2021 by Vijay Gopal, the founder of a ticketing portal named Showtyme.
