Central govt salaries, pensions for Sept to be paid in advance ahead of bank strike

Ministry of Finance has announced that salaries and pensions of all Central government employees and pensioners for September will be disbursed early on September 25. The decision was taken ahead of a proposed bank union strike, which could disrupt services. The government said these payments will be treated as advances, with any required adjustments to be made in October.
