The Centre has appointed Kompella Venkata Ramana Murty as SEBI's whole-time member for three years, as per a government notification issued on March 24. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the former whole-time member Ananth Narayan, whose tenure ended in October 2025. With Ramana Murty's appointment, SEBI now has its full strength of four whole-time members.
