The Union government appointed Sanjeev Jayendra Thaker, Deeptendra Narayan Ray, and Maulik Jitendra Shelat as judges of the Gujarat High Court. This follows the Supreme Court collegium's recommendation on August 13, 2024. The appointments were made under Article 217 of the Constitution after consultations with the CJI.
