The Central Government has approved development projects worth nearly ₹108 crore for the tribal-dominated Lahaul-Spiti region. This includes the long-pending ₹23-crore sewerage scheme for Keylong and the High-Altitude Sports Centre in Kaza, an Ice Hockey Rink with Pavilion and a Sports Training Facility with a cricket ground. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju will visit the region on June 27.
