Centre moves SC to quash FIRs against protestors ahead of CJP's Sept 5 march
The central government moved the Supreme Court to quash FIRs filed against students who protested against the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta requested the FIRs to be quashed under Article 142 of the Constitution. This comes after Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) announced a protest march on September 5 over "unfulfilled promises" by the government.
