The Centre ordered promotion of 8,089 employees belonging to Central Secretariat Service (CSS), Central Secretariat Stenographers' Service (CSSS) and Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS) in one go. Of the 8,089, 4,734 are from CSS, 2,966 from CSSS and 389 from CSCS. "It was disheartening to see...employees [retiring]...without getting...due promotion," Minister Jitendra Singh tweeted.
