The Central government announced an additional 20% allocation of commercial LPG, over and above the existing 50% allocation, amid the Middle East war. This takes the total supply to 70% of the pre-crisis level of packed non-domestic LPG. "The additional 20% allocation shall be given to industries with priority in steel, automobile, textile, dye, chemicals and plastics," the government said.
