The Centre has re-appointed Swaminathan Janakiraman as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India for a two-year term starting June 26. He was first appointed to the post in June 2023, after serving as a managing director at State Bank of India. He will continue overseeing key functions, including the Department of Supervision and Inspection.
