Finance Ministry said the Centre released ₹71,889 crore in grants to states in FY25 as per the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission. The grants were released under various heads including the National Disaster Mitigation Fund and post-devolution revenue deficit grant. The Centre released ₹6,845 crore towards Urban Local Bodies Grant and ₹20,847 crore towards Rural Local Bodies Grant.
