Centre spent ₹910 crore on print ads in 5 years: RTI data
The Central Government spent ₹910 crore on print advertisements between FY2020-21 and FY2024-25, according to RTI data. The Times of India received the highest share at around ₹78.22 crore. The expenditure was routed through the Central Bureau of Communication for promoting government schemes, public awareness campaigns and policy announcements across newspapers in multiple languages.
