The Centre stepped up efforts to reverse brain drain by inviting Indian-origin researchers, scientists, technologists and professionals to labs, research centres and educational institutes across India. The invitations, under PM Research Chair Scheme 2026, will focus on 13 areas, including semiconductors, cyber security, biotech and atomic energy. The scheme will focus on impact-oriented research.
