The much-awaited Chadar trek on the frozen Zanskar river in Ladakh has been deferred due to inadequate ice formation, disappointing trekkers eager to participate in the adventure sport. The trek, which was scheduled to begin on January 10, has been postponed as the river surface has not frozen sufficiently to allow safe movement.
