Speaking at an event in Panjab University, BJP MP Kirron Kher said the Chandigarh Metro project is "doomed to fail". "This is because cost of the project will be around ₹14,000 crore, which is very high for a city with 12 lakh people," she added. "Since cost of the project is high, the tickets will be costly," she further said.
