The National Medical Commission (NMC) has granted approval to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh, for enhancement of its annual MBBS intake. The seats will increase from 150 to 200 with effect from the 2026-27 academic session. The move is also expected to improve the availability of qualified doctors and further strengthen healthcare delivery in the region.
