The propulsion module of Chandrayaan-3, which is still orbiting the Moon, is being powered by nuclear energy, Atomic Energy Commission Chairman AK Mohanty told The Times of India. The module includes two Radioisotope Heating Units, each generating one watt, designed and developed by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Units weren't installed on Vikram lander and Pragyan rover due to increased mass.
