PM Narendra Modi was seen caressing Virat, the charger horse of President's Bodyguard, during the Republic Day parade as the animal retires from service today. The Hanoverian breed horse was awarded with Chief of the Army Staff's commendation on Army Day this year. President Ram Nath Kovind and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were also seen petting the horse.
