Chandigarh Police has filed a chargesheet against Professor BB Goyal of Panjab University in the murder case of his wife, Seema Goyal. The police registered the case after Seema Goyal's body was found in November 2021, on the night of Diwali, at the professor's official university residence. Her hands and feet were tied with ropes, and cloth was stuffed in her mouth.
