Hyderabad's Charminar and the Golconda Fort have been shut for visitors after re-opening on Monday, amid COVID-19 pandemic. This comes after the Telangana government opposed the re-opening stating that the monuments are located in areas with rising COVID-19 cases, following which the Archaeological Survey of India closed them. Notably, Charminar and Golconda Fort don't fall in containment zones.
