The family of 16-year-old Adam Raine, who died by suicide after months of conversations with ChatGPT, filed a lawsuit against the company. Between December-April, ChatGPT mentioned "hanging" 243 times, more than Raine did in their exchanges, claimed the suit. OpenAI claimed issuing 74 suicide hotline warnings to the teenager. Raine used bot for homework, but began personal conversations soon.
