In FY24, Chennai was the top recipient of CSR funds in Tamil Nadu. The district received ₹878.17 crore from 1,512 companies in the last fiscal year. The top three sectors of focus for CSR initiatives in the district were Education, Health and Environment. The top three spending companies donated ₹82.75 crore, ₹34.91 crore, and ₹31.96 crore.
