Chennai-based SIMS Hospital has achieved India's first endoscopic keyhole removal of an extremely rare left ventricular cardiac tumour in a 45-year-old woman. The minimally invasive procedure avoided sternotomy, reduced pain and recovery time, and restored normal heart function. Doctors report a successful outcome, with the patient resuming normal activities within two weeks.
