The South Central Railway cancelled a few trains to Chennai in the wake of heavy rains lashing the city, it said in a release on Monday. Some trains have been partially cancelled and some others have been diverted due to water-logging at the Chennai Central Station. Meanwhile 1,900 people were rescued in Chennai as the number of inundated localities doubled.
