The All India Chess Federation (AICF) has announced that senior National Chess Championship will be held from November 29 to December 9 this year. This comes after Grandmaster Abhijeet Gupta raised concerns over the federation's initial decision to defer the 2026 edition to 2027. A senior AICF official had earlier cited congested international and domestic calendar as reason for postponement.
