Posted as Chief engineer in Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd, Vimal Negi had gone missing on March 10. His body was found in Gobindsagar dam on March 18. His family had moved court wanting transfer of case to CBI for impartial probe. They alleged he was being harassed at work. The court has directed CBI to hold an independent probe.
