Childhood adversity reduces social benefits of intelligence: Study

A study by University of Bath suggested that childhood disadvantage reduces the social benefits of intelligence later in life. The study analysed data from over 24,000 UK people and found that people from disadvantaged backgrounds were less likely to translate cognitive ability into trust and wider benefits. Childhood disadvantage included factors such as living in workless households.
