China, Russia veto UN resolution on Iran sanctions panel

Iran's Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf praised China and Russia's vetoes at the UN Security Council, which blocked a US-drafted resolution to extend the Iran Sanctions Panel of Experts until 2027. The draft received 11 votes in favour but failed due to vetoes by two permanent members, leaving IAEA as the sole monitor of Iran's nuclear programme.
