China adopts stricter cyber-security law

China has adopted a cybersecurity law on Monday, that critics argue would shut out foreign companies as it includes controversial requirements for security reviews and requires data to be stored on Chinese servers. The legislation, set to come into effect in June 2017, is an "objective need" of China as a major internet power, a parliamentary official claimed.
