China allows couples to register marriages at hospitals, nightclubs and metro stations

China has allowed couples to register marriages in hospitals, airports, temples, metro stations and nightclubs as marriage rates fall in the country. A maternal and child health hospital in Shandong province announced that it had begun offering marriage registration services. A nightclub in Shanghai has partnered with the local civil affairs bureau to hold special marriage certificate ceremonies.
