China has blocked the use of US microprocessors from Intel and AMD in government personal computers and servers, Financial Times reported on Sunday. China introduced the new guidelines seeking to replace foreign technology with homegrown solutions. The guidelines also sought to sideline Microsoft's Windows operating system and foreign-made database software.
