China building 670-foot-long ‘mothership’ that can launch submarine drones: Report
China is reportedly building a giant underwater mothership capable of deploying submarine drones and large unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) for long-range missions. A Telegraph report said the vessel is being constructed at the Hudong-Zhonghua shipyard in Shanghai. The vessel may be 205 metres (670 feet) long and 27 metres wide, and could accommodate four of China’s largest underwater drones.
