China builds mockups of US, Japanese aircraft in Xinjiang desert

Satellite images from Vantor show full-scale mockups of US fighter jets, air defence systems and support aircraft in China’s remote Xinjiang desert. The models appear to be used for target practice and missile tests. One resembles a Boeing E-767 AWACS aircraft, a type operated only by Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force.
